I am tired and still a bit red for reasons to be explained tomorrow, this week I’ve been working for the Natural Theatre company devising new scenarios. Just found a video of the piece I helped devise last year and as I’m lazy thought that would be today’s post.

Have you ever seen Tim Vine? I say seen, experienced is more accurate. He is incredible. Just awesome.

Today I have a meeting with the Artistic Director of the Rondo theatre, to talk about the impending sketch show, and the Christmas show New Old Friends are undertaking at his venue. I will fill you in in full tommorrow. Right now I have to shower.

Today I ran a workshop on stage combat and delivering Shakespearean dialogue; two of the hardest disciplines in theatre. Simultaneaously. For 9-12 year olds.

It was pretty hardcore, but ultimately a huge amount of fun. You’ve not heard Shakespeare until you’ve witnessed an angry 11 year old declaim “Thou dost infect mine eyes!” Then throwing a glorious left hook.

If truth be told the throwing of the punches was rather more enthusiastic than the ‘napping’ or reacting to the punch, but they went at it hammer and tongs and we got some really nice little scenes at the end.

I still want opinions.

Ok, this time I want your opinion on whether the title Post-Postal makes sense/is interesting. Or whether it’s better to go with the self-explanatory Sketchy at Best. That is all.

Because today is my day off. That is why I don’t hate Mondays Bob. Because, whilst there is a HUGE pile of dishes to wash next door, I’m not going to do anything for a little while longer. Which is nice.

I’m going to watch some iPlayer stuff I think. Not sure what. I’ll write more tomorrow.

So it looks like I’m going to be a bull in a China shop. Only on an international scale, and not in anyway coherent to the meaning of that metaphor. To clarify I may be working in China for a month. Which is awesome. I may of course yet not do so, which would be less awesome. But still, nice to be on the short list.

Short list is a phrase in no way intedend to infer a racial slur on the height of the Chinese people. Look at Jao Ming. For those who don’t ‘ball’ he’s an NBA basketball player and reeeeeaaally tall. Seriously tall. Actually almost comically tall. He must have good genes but a heck of a time buying jeans.
